Hwang In-Beom, "Currently, the news battle regarding my transfer is the best!"

Hwang In-beom, 26, shares his thoughts.

Jürgen Klinsmann's South Korea national soccer team is set to take on Hugo Perez's El Salvador national team in the Hana Bank Invitational A match at the Daejeon World Cup Stadium on June 20 at 8 p.m. KST.

Hwang In-bum is the backbone of the Korean national team, and he also plays for his club Olympiacos. Hwang In-bum sat down for an interview with us on behalf of the squad.

Q. You will be playing for your hometown team, Daejeon Hana Citizen, at the Daejeon World Cup Stadium.

▶It's been a long time since I've been to Daejeon for a game after last year. Every time I come here, no matter how long it's been, it always feels like home. Daejeon World Cup Stadium is the best stadium in Korea in my opinion. We will have to do our best on the field to show a good performance in a great match.

Q. Was there any talk among the players about giving the coach his first win?

▶Before the last game against Peru, our captain (Son) Heung-min talked about it (giving the coach a win), but it didn't happen, so I think I can say that the players are hungry for a win. Obviously, we didn't show a good performance in the first game, both as a team and individually, but I think we can do better tomorrow against El Salvador by preparing well.

Q. Under Paulo Bento, you used to play with three midfielders, but against Peru, Jürgen Klinsmann opted for two midfielders. Can you tell us the difference as a midfielder when you play with two midfielders versus three?

I think in March we had the same three midfielders (unlike under Paulo Bento). I personally think we didn't play well against Peru. 토토사이트 순위 I think we felt a drop in performance after the last game.

Personally, I don't think (the change in performance) is a function of the number of midfielders, it's a function of the tactics and the players' implementation. Against Peru, with two midfielders, I wouldn't say we lacked control in the middle.

It's just that whether we were defending or attacking, the formation could have been a 4-4-2 (with two midfielders), but we needed to create spaces and we didn't do that. I don't know what formation we're going to play against El Salvador or who we're going to play with, but no matter what formation we play with or who we play with, we need to work on our performance from the last game and we're already working on that in meetings and things like that. Whether it's two midfielders or three midfielders, we're going to have to try to put in a good performance.

Q. Hong Hyun-seok, who plays in the same midfield position, has shown a lot of promise. What was it like playing alongside him?

▶It was the first time I trained with (Hong) Hyun-seok. I realized that he has a lot to offer. I'm honored that he had good things to say about me. He's one of those players who, when you train with him, you can feel that he's a really good player. He's one of those guys who feels like he can show what he's capable of.

Now we (the class of 1996, including myself) are in the middle of the pack in terms of age, but not in terms of seniority in terms of number of national team games played. It's our job to help the younger players do well. In the last game, I think we were a little bit lacking in that regard, so in the next game, the experienced players will have to show why they have the experience.

Q. Your coach has an aggressive style. How do you think you can better showcase your talents within that offense?

In the last game, we lacked something as a team, and personally, it was a little different from what we've been doing. It's been a long time since I've played a match, and it's been a long time since I've played my last match. I should have made fewer small mistakes, but I didn't. If I have a chance in the next match, I will try to play as a link in the middle and push the tempo quickly, believing that my senses will have improved since the last match.

Q. There's been a lot of talk about your national team players moving to big clubs recently. Is there any talk among the players?

Our players also read about such transfer rumors in the media, so they ask, "Is (Kim) Min-jae really going here (FC Bayern Munich)?" and "Is (Lee) Kang-in really going there (Paris Saint-Germain FC)? But we don't actually ask specific questions. 메이저사이트 We're cautious. It's important how big a club our players go to, but I personally believe they will go to a team that plays a lot and shows good form. I also want you to know that our players are players who care a lot about entertaining soccer fans. As a fan, I can't wait to see where they go and how well they perform. As for me, I don't have any transfer rumors (at the moment), I'm just happy to play wherever I'm at. I'm happy if I can show what I have, including my club Olympiacos FC.
